03_19_2008 - I've updated the about page again, with more recent projects. I've added two new collections to the photo gallery. Also, a little while back I totally rewrote my tutorial on making your own HDRI, so if that's your sorta thing, you might want to check out the revised version.

11_29_2007 - I've updated the about page with recent projects and speaking engagements, and the 3d gallery with new pages for Die Hard, an Embarq Wireless commercial, a Saab commercial and some images from freelance projects for Popular Mechanics.

11_27_2007 - I've updated the main gallery page, adding navigation buttons and three 'new' reels. I've added an updated reel with my current visual effects work on it, a reel from late 2003, which I used to get my current job with, and a reel from mid 2000, which I got my first industry job with.

10_25_2007 - I've done a bit of an overhaul on the photo gallery, getting it a into a state where I can add stuff more regularly. I've started using Adobe Lightroom for my photo stuff, so the new photo galleries are just the galleries that Lightroom creates, so that I can spend more time doing the photo stuff and less time building web pages ;)

05_11_2007 - At long last, an update to the site! I've updated the about page to reflect the more recent projects I have worked on. I've added gallery pages for The Last Mimzy, as well as two (1,2) personal projects. There is a placeholder image for Live Free or Die Hard, but that won't be online until sometime in early July, after the films release.

08_12_2006 - Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and Host shots and clips are online now. They can be seen in the 3d Gallery section.

07_20_2006 - New general VFX tut/article is online. Check it out here. I have added a few more recent photos to the photo gallery section, as I have a new digital SLR and have begun to get into photography again. I've also tried to clean up around here a little bit, getting rid of typos, dead links, etc. My Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and Host shots are on the way as well, so look for them to show up in the gallery section in the next week or two :)

02_12_2006 - New reel is online now! Check it out here. Also, I just finished up a web site for Wednesday Kirwan, so go check it out too, as she has some great new work up.

12_17_2005 - The pages for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Aeon Flux are now online. Check 'em out! Look for a new reel in early January :)

12_12_2005 - I recently was interviewed by VFXBlog.com on the work that The Orphanage did in Aeon Flux. See the article and a few images here.

09_26_2005 - I cruised by MaxUnderground today and noticed that my site got a little mention there :) So I just wanted to welcome those coming from that direction and to thank the folks at MU for the extra traffic!

08_22_2005 - Whole new site design and a bit of reorganization. An HDRI section has been added as well, with freely downloadable hdr images of decent quality. The tutorials, scripts, links and the new hdri sections have all been consolidated under the Resources section. I have also added a contact form in addition to the regular contact method of email. I've tried to keep all page names the same, so old links to the site shouldn't be broken, but if you find something broken, please send me a note from the contact page.

08_05_2005 - Got a new car :D I only posted this because I have a bunch of Mini stuff in my gallery. Seems only fitting that I should have a real one.

11_11_2004 - I've finally updated the 3d gallery with work from this year. Included now are stills from my shots on Day After Tomorrow, Sky Captain and a Motorola TV spot. Unfortunately, I do have more work from this past year, but just can't show any of it for a while.

07_03_2004 - A minor update today. Just weeded a bunch of stuff out of the Misc gallery folder and organized the good stuff into new gallery pages and threw away some of the lame stuff. So check out the gallery for a wrap up of stuff I did in 2003. 2004 stuff (stills from Day After Tomorrow, Sky Captain, and whatever else i can show) will be up as soon as i get them myself :)

I still have a few Brazil tuts in the works, although i got pretty burned out on working on them, i hope to get motivated again soon. Sorry for the delay to anyone who has been waiting on the rest.

05_15_2004 - I was interviewed a month or so ago about the making of Day After Tomorrow, and apparently my interview has made it's way into an HBO special. I don't actually have HBO myself, so I can't vouch for the validity of this, but people at work are taunting me, so i assume it to be true ;) Also just got interviewed for a Day After thing on Tech TV, which is supposed to air on the 26th of May, so check it out if you get a chance and let me know, as i also do not have Tech TV :(

The Brazil RIO shader tuts are all online now, with the exception of the skin tut. I skipped over the skin tut in the interest of getting all the rest done with and uploaded. So when i get a chance, i'll finish that one off. The Photon GI tut is also in the works and should be done soon *crosses fingers* ;)

04_11_2004 - Too busy!! Just managed to finish off another part of the brazil rio shader tuts (car paint is up now) and hopefully i'll get a chance to do more soon.

02_02_2004 - Finally settled in here for the most part. It's been a crazy few months, and still super busy, but at least i have internet and everything at home again :) Took some photos with the ol' digital camera over xmas, so check em out here. and here.

12_02_2003 - Well, I'm off to sunny California! I've been hired on at the Orphanage in San Francisco, and I'm packing up and heading out. I'll be in flux for a month or so while I apartment hunt, settle in, do travelling for the holidays, move my stuff/girlfriend/dog out to a new place, etc, so I may be a bit slow in answering e-mails. I'm really looking forward to working with all the awesome talented people out there, not to mention getting to make the jump to feature film work. ^_^

10_14_2003 - New Reel!! I've finally had a chance to cut together a new reel and get it online. This one is longer then my old one at about 3:20 or so and i have higher-quality versions online, as well as a quicktime version for mac users. Check it out in the gallery section.
there is also a new-ish tut in the tuts section about making an animatable tank tread in max with the path deform modifier.

07_04_2003 - Well, i think the DNS stuff is all sorted now so any e-mail etc should go trough properly from this point on. I lost some of the stuff in the /pics dir so i think there are some dead image links in various message boards. But i havn't gotten around to finding and re-uploading those images yet. I rolled the site back to my last backup, which was at the end of May, i think, with the exception of alot of the html pages themselves, which i had changed more recently. If anyone finds anything missing or any dead links on the site itself, please send me an email so i can fix it :)

07_02_2003 - Well my (ex)host (featureprice.com) finally dropped off the face of the internet, of course taking my site with it >_<. But now i'm back up and running with a new host (lunarpages.com) :D I'm sure i'll still be working bugs out for a little while, so if you've tried to mail me in the past few days or are going to try now and it got bounced back, then i appologize and things should be back in working here soon :)

06_19_2003 - Lots of stuff done on the site without an update to this page (whoops). the Tutorials section is getting a little bigger, with two new tuts dealing with a) creating your own hdr image from scratch, and b) using that image for lighting, reflections or both. Also doing some housekeeping today, fixing some formatting stuff and making alot of the text brighter, as to be easier to read.

03_25_2003 - Began the redesign of the site. Added random banner java mojo for the top banner.
